How to increase or decrease the mouse wheel scrolling speed in Firefox?

October 29th, 2008 by admin

To change the mouse wheel scrolling speed in Firefox, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Type about:config on the address bar.

Step 2: Press “I’ll be careful, I promise!” button (if you use Firefox3.x otherwise just ignore this step).

Step 3: Find mousewheel.withnokey.sysnumlines

Step 4: Right click on mousewheel.withnokey.sysnumlines and change the default value to False.

Step 5: Find mousewheel.withnokey.numlines and change the value (default value is 1, greater value means faster scrolling speed).

Now, enjoy your new mouse wheel scrolling speed in your Firefox!
